These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CtxLens mobile application (“CtxLens” or the “App”) provided by Truebird, Inc. (“Truebird,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using CtxLens, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Overview

CtxLens is a field documentation app for iOS that lets you create timestamped cards with text, photos, GPS coordinates, and tags — and export them as professional reports. All data is stored locally on your device.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CtxLens. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Subscriptions and Payment

CtxLens requires an active subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase to use.

  • Monthly Subscription — Billed monthly. Auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Annual Subscription — Billed annually. Auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Lifetime Purchase — A one-time payment that grants permanent access. No renewal required.

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Truebird does not collect or store your payment information. Pricing is displayed in the App and may vary by region.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period. For refund requests, contact Apple Support.

4. Grace Period

If your subscription expires, CtxLens provides a grace period during which you can continue using the App. After the grace period ends, the App will require an active subscription to access your data. Your data remains stored on your device during this time and is not deleted.

5. Your Data

All cards, photos, and metadata you create in CtxLens are stored locally on your device. Truebird does not have access to your data, does not transmit it to any server, and cannot recover it if your device is lost or damaged.

You are solely responsible for backing up your data. CtxLens provides export and transfer features you can use to create copies of your records.

6. Transfers Between Users

CtxLens allows you to share cards with other users via transfer files. When you create a transfer, the data you select is packaged into a file that you share directly with the recipient. Truebird does not facilitate, route, or store these transfers. You are responsible for the content you share and for choosing appropriate sharing methods.

7. AI-Generated Summaries

CtxLens uses Apple Intelligence to generate on-device summaries of your documentation. These summaries are produced entirely on your device using Apple’s models. Truebird does not process, access, or store any AI-generated content.

AI summaries may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before sharing or relying on it.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use CtxLens for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Circumvent or interfere with the App’s subscription or licensing mechanisms.
  • Distribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it.

9. Intellectual Property

CtxLens, including its design, code, and documentation, is owned by Truebird, Inc. and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or professional purposes.

The content you create in CtxLens (cards, photos, reports) belongs to you. Truebird claims no ownership of your data.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

CtxLens is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Truebird does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects. We do not warrant that AI-generated summaries will be accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Truebird disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Truebird shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of CtxLens, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or interruption of business.

Truebird’s total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Truebird, Inc., its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of CtxLens or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected in the App Store listing. Your continued use of CtxLens after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to CtxLens if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends, but your locally stored data remains on your device.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
